Taylorville Methodist Church is a faithful, budding Global Methodist community that's built around the life-changing power of Jesus Christ and the hope that's found in Him. We believe in growing together, in supporting each other through prayer, and in showing and telling people about God's love for them.

The current incarnation of Taylorville MC began in 1905 when a few families and a traveling pastor -- called a circuit rider -- decided that the area needed a church to proclaim the Good News of God's grace to the people. It's grown over the years and gone through iterations of Methodism, but the mission remains the same: to help people grow in faith and faithfulness with one another. We joined the Global Methodist Church in 2023 and look forward in hope to see what God has in store for our community!

Why do we exist? Simply, to create and equip disciples of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. We want people to do more than hear that God loves them -- we want them to experience the transformation that comes through a life of faith.

What does this mean for you? It means you aren't just invited -- you're wanted! We're saving a seat for you. Whether you grew up in church or this is your first time, regardless of what you've been through or done, we want to celebrate the love of Christ together with you.
