The Prayer Meeting is a weekly worship gathering started in September 2023 out of the desire to meet outside of Sunday mornings specifically oriented in outward focused prayer. What you'll find on typical Tuesday evenings is a casual, peaceful setting. We're led through different types of prayer of the following kinds throughout the service:
- intercessory prayer - where we pray on behalf of one another and those dear to us on specific issues
- prayer for our local church - where we pray for TMC and our specific worship, mission, and discipleship goals
- prayer for our local community and beyond - where we pray for Taylorville and Tuscaloosa and surrounding, seeing where Jesus is already at work and where we can come alongside Him in His mission to the world.
During the service we also hear a small devotion and lift our voice in praise through song (both hymns and modern), and always come to the Table of Holy Communion.
Christians are a praying people - we believe that prayer is one of our most powerful tools in this life to bring us closer to our Lord Jesus and to those we are meant to serve. We hope that you join us - anytime - in prayer!
